Where & How To Share Your Content To Drive Traffic To Your Blog

where & how to share your content
Once your post is written and ready to be shared with your readers the same old question comes up in my mind, where should I post my content to get a lot of people to read it and maybe even gain some new ones. At the moment there are severals social media platforms you could share your posts to but which ones do work the best and how do they work?
I do the same routine pretty much every time a new posts goes up and per post I get a good amount of pageviews and every now and then even some new followers and comments.

Google+
Google+ is a platform I just recently started to use for sharing my posts. I never thought it would work that great but I took some time to actually explore it and get to know a little bit about this platform and now it´s the one that actually gets me the most traffic. It´s really easy, get yourself a Google+ account, and join some communities.
To make it easier for you to find some good communities, with loads of members who are most of the time kind enough to keep sharing my posts, here is a short list of my favourite communities:

So basically all you do is insert the link to the post you want to share, select a category (only when the admin created several ones), and press share.

Pinterest
Pinterest is the platform I see the most popular in the bloggers world for sharing. However it hasn´t worked that good for me yet but I do get a few viewers to look at my blog. You could just post it on one of your pinboards (preferably one that is named like your blog so it´s easy to find) or you start joining group boards to share it directly with other fellow bloggers.
I have joined 3 Group Boards so far and it´s also a very good way to find other blogs that might interest you.
The link to my Pinterest is here so you can have a look at the boards I have joined :)

Twitter
Twitter is my absolute favourite way to share my content and get in contact with my readers and some fellow blogger girls. The most readers come from Twitter and that´s probably because it´s also the easiest way to find new blogs and/or share yours.
Whether you have or haven´t been using Twitter to spread your posts you might have probably noticed that there are several accounts who are mainly there to retweet other tweets that include blog posts.
My favourites have to be:

but not only those retweeting accounts are great for sharing, I also use some hashtags that will make your posts seeable for loads of people:
#bbloggers #lbloggers #makeup #blogginggals #thegirlgang #makeup #skincare #bbloggerswanted #lifestyle

Instagram
Instagram is more of a site to keep your readers updated with your life more than actually getting them to read your blog. I do post the main pictures of my posts to my feed and post the link to it in my bio, just to let my followers on there know that I have a new post but Instagram is for me definitely something more private to get my readers know a bit more about my daily life.
The hashtags I use are:
#whatiworetoday #wiwt #tbloggers #instablogger #instamakeup #instabeauty #ilovemakeup #lbloggers #bbloggerswanted #beautyjunkies #beautyblogger #bbloggers #beauty #makeupobsession #makeupaddiction #makeupheaven #makeupaddict #makeupmafia #makeupporn #makeupmess #makeuphaul #motd #mua #flatlay #germanbloggers (optional to your country)

So that are all platforms I use for sharing my content, that give a me good amount of pageviews.

Which ones do you use?
