Spending Valentines Day As A Single

Spending Valentines Day As A Single
If you haven´t noticed already by all the love messages and pictures of happy couples spending the day together all over social medias, it´s Valentines Day! Definitely not a date that´s worth to remember when you´re a single lady like me. Today and especially tonight will all be themed as "loving yourself". There are several things to do to make this day and night about yourself.

Shopping!
To get the day over the best thing to do as a girl is to go shopping! Write a list of things you have wanted for a long time and treat yourself, it´s totally okay to splurge on that lipstick or eyeshadow palette you´ve been eyeing for a while :) Loads of stores, like KIKO or Lush, also have some special Valentines Day offers that are definitely worth trying out! Of course shopping with your friends is a lot of fun but trust me sometimes it´s even more fun going by yourself, you don´t have to look after someone,or have to wait for someone else until they´re done trying on their pile of clothes while everything you have found and liked are some cute socks with puppys on them.

Pamper Night!
After you´ve run around the whole time it´s time to go home and transform your bathroom into a spa! Light your favourite candles, run yourself a hot bubble bath, make yourself your favourite tea and get that hair mask out of your closet that you were too lazy to put on before. Lay back and turn your favourite music up as loud as you can. After you´re skin got all wrinkled carry on with plucking your brows, if you haven´t for a while, and a face mask, as it´s actually the best time to apply one, you´re pores have opened because of the hot wather so your skin will absorb it a lot better :)

Take Out/Cooking!
That part is optional and depends whether you´re a good cook and wanted to try this receipe that you´ve found on the internet for quite some time now or if you´re like me, and are already lucky when the noodles don´t burn and ruin your pot haha :) then you should probably reach for your phone and order some yummy take out, is it time for chinese or pizza?

Manicure / Pedicure
Having pretty nails makes me personally a lot more confident as I don´t have to worry about people staring at my unmade fingernails when I´m on the bus. We all know how good a pedicure can lasts and with the weather changing daily it´s always good to be prepared for the next warm weather wave where it could be possible to wear lighter shoes and even if that won´t happen in the next weeks, you will be able to look at your pretty toenails when you´re lounging on your sofa! My favourite nail polishes are from Maybelline and Sally Hansen :)

Reading
The best way to really relax is to put away any electric devices and read that book you bought but which somehow ended on your shelf and is collecting all the dust. Putting away your phone and laptop is really hard, I know, but it keeps your head full and you´re stressing yourself without realising because you´re so used to that feeling but trust me, you´re not missing out on anything and everything will be there the day after aswell :)

What do you love about yourself?
And how will you be spending your Valentines Day?

  2. Going shopping on Valentine's Day has become some sort of annual ritual for me now! And I also like to pamper myself at the end of the day so it looks like we have a really similar mindset, haha :)

  5. Aww this is such a lovely post!

As a single pringle, I decided to try my hardest to steer clear of Facebook because it would just be a long feed of couples kissing and posting repetitive photos of flower - super jealous though. But today I was my own valentine (does that sound weird?) and had a LUSH bath, ate a roast dinner and far too many chocolate digestives!
